Switzerland has all it takes to mezmarise its visitors: Admire fairytale scenaries where magical snow covered mountains surround the greenest prairies, experiment the swiss exquisite ''art de vivre'' in the elegant cities of Montreux and Lucerne, Embark on the chocolate train and learn the secrets of chocolate making.
Arrival in Geneva, Switzerland’s second city, close to the French frontier and headquarters of many international organisations, such as the UN. From Geneva transfer to Montreux and check in at the hotel.
Set off to discover nearby Montreux the city of Lausanne, its magnificent 13th century gothic cathedral, the hôtel de ville and the Olympic Museum which symbolises the union between sport, art and culture. You can also go shopping in the pedestrianised city centre and then relax in the Ouchy quarter and enjoy the lakeside walks.
Return to Montreux.

Night in Montreux at your hotel
Breakfast at the hotel, then, head off to explore the terraced vineyards of the Lavaux region, a UNESCO world heritage site. Taste local wines in a wine cellar facing the lake and mountains. From Vevey, take the CGN ferry to Château Chillon. The chateau is one of Switzerland’s most beautiful monuments.
Return to Montreux, the city which hosts the famous jazz festival in July and which is also famous for its Christmas market. Take a stroll from the centre of Montreux along the flower-decked banks of Lake Geneva. Enjoy the amazing view of the Dents du Midi massif with the Château de Chillon in the foreground.

You are in the country of chocolate, so you mustn’t miss the chocolate train. It leaves Montreux and heads for Gruyère country where the delicious Cailler chocolate is made and Gruyère cheese.
Tour the picturesque village of Gruyères and find out how Gruyère is made at the demonstration dairy. In Broc you will be able to see how chocolate is made at the Cailler factory where you will take a tour, watch a film and taste the finished product.
The chocolate train runs from May to October every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and every day in July and August.

Switzerland has one of the biggest and most concentrated rail networks in the world, which makes train travel really easy, faster and more comfortable than car travel.
Transfer to the station.
Take the train to Rossinière, stroll through this typical village and see the biggest chalet in Europe, where the painter Balthus lived.
Continue by train to Interlaken which gets its name from its location between Lake Thounes and Lake Brienz.
Arrival at Interlaken and transfer to the hotel.

Take the Bernese Oberland train from Interlaken-Ost as it follows the track along the River Lütschine to Lauterbrunnen or Grindelwald. From there, take the Wengernalp train to Petite Scheidegg (75 minute journey).
The Jungfrau train leaves from Petite Scheidegg and climbs to the Jungfraujoch, a nine kilometre journey during which it goes up to a height of 1,400 metres and goes through over seven kilometres of tunnels.
From the Jungfraujoch you can enjoy the fabulous view over the surrounding mountains and the Aletsch Glacier. The Jungfrau-Aletsch region, with its unique flora and fauna, is first amongst Alpine regions and is a UNESCO designated world natural heritage site. You can also see the ice palace, the ski and snowboard park and the glacier’s restaurant, the "Top of Europe".

Take the train to Lucerne via the Luzern Interlaken Express, a luxury train with amazing views.
Lucerne is in the north-west of the Lac des Quatre-Cantons, 45 minutes away by train. You can wander through the old town, see 14th century, covered wooden bridges and museums in this eclectic city in the heart of Switzerland. You can also see examples of modern architecture, such as the Palais de la Culture et des Congrès (KKL), designed by Jean Nouvel, which contrasts with the buildings in the old town.

This day will enable you to see Mont Titlis and a fantastic view over the regions, the Bernese Oberland, the Uri Alps, Melchtal, Obwalden and the Lac des Quatre-Cantons.
Take the train to Engelberg (50 minutes) and then the cable car to the halfway station, Trübsee, which will gradually reveal the alpine landscape to you. Next, see even more of the mountains when you take the Titlis-Rotair cable car to Klein-Titlis station which is at 3,020 metres of altitude. Relax in the panoramic restaurant and enjoy the view. The glacier’s ski lift offers breathtaking perspectives of the crevasses in the Titlis glacier. If there is enough time, you can take a 350 metre tour of the glacier cave.
